Designed by the students of the Hellenic Army Academy during the period of application of the years 1903-1904 under the direction of the professor of Topography major general of the engineering department Dimitrios Dimaras (1869-1926) Later major general, participated in the wars 1897, 1912-1913 and in the Minor Asia campaign, commander of the \u0399V Division.<\/em>
\nLeaders of the groups<\/strong>
\n1)\u00a01) Ragkavis Nikolaos<\/strong>\u00a0(1882-1968). (1882-1968). Participated in the Balkan wars and in the Minor Asia campaign as Colonel. Retired during 1923, returned to the army 1940 with the rank of major general, commander of Thessaly and later of Macedonia.
\n2) 2) Galatis St.<\/strong>
\n3)\u00a03) Kamperos Dimitrios<\/strong>\u00a0(1883-1942). Pioneer of the Air Force. He was originally an artillery officer, sent in 1911 for air force training in France. Upon his return to Greece, he took the first official military exercise flight on 13.5.1912. In June 1912 he broke the world speed record at 110km\/h. He also served as a chief instructor of the Military Flight School. Because of his risky flights he got the nickname \u201cCrazy-Kamperos\u201d which became later a popular expression as an ironic female characterisation. He was the brother of the Naval officer Notis Kamperos, who was one of the founders of the club Olympiacos (1925). He was the one who proposed the name Olympiacos.
\n4)\u00a04) Katheniotis Dimitrios<\/strong>\u00a0(1882-1947) Founding member of the Military Connection. He participated in the Balkan wars as a staff member and in World War I. He was Commander of the War School (1926), later also deputy Chief-of-Staff and Chief-of-Staff of the Hellenic Army General Staff. He became well-known because of the \u201cKatheniotis\u201d report about the Greek population of the Black Sea.
